Debbie Vought
About: Debbie graduated with a degree in Literature from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) and completed her graduate studies in Writing at California State University Sacramento. An accomplished educator, she has over 30 years of experience guiding and coaching both youth and adult learners in high school and college settings. She is a graduate of Dr. Bruce Perry's Child Trauma Academy, and her additional training from Reclaiming Youth International guides her work designing and facilitating numerous courses for educators on Trauma-Informed Practices, Building Resilience, and Understanding ACEs (adverse childhood experiences). In addition to writing curriculum, she is an accomplished grant writer having earned nearly 20 million dollars in awards and she is a published poet. As an educator, co-founder of a youth development non-profit, spouse to a combat veteran, and mom of two special needs children who are now grown, Debbie understands the profound role that life writing can play in understanding one's legacy and supporting one's well-being.
