Sarah White
Experience:
Sarah White is a freelance writer and personal historian who helps people write about their lives and work as a developmental editor, writing coach, and ghostwriter. She teaches reminiscence writing, creative nonfiction, and writing craft. Sarah holds a Journalism degree from Indiana University and an MFA-Creative Nonfiction from the University of King's College.
Sarah found Guided Autobiography through Dr. Birren’s book, Telling the Stories of Life through Guided Autobiography groups, in 2004. She has led over 100 reminiscence writing workshops since then, using the Birren method complemented by other curriculum she has developed. She has hosted story-share events for in her community monthly since 2013. Her personal mission is to create the conditions for people to share their life stories, with lasting benefits to individuals, their families, and the community.
